FRIDAY AFTERNOON...

Well this afternoon was very nice ...first Sue and I went for a gentle walk - well wrapped up of course ... and although there was a brief shower we sheltered under a tree and watched

...the geese.

These are apparently GREYLAG GEESE (not pink footed as thought) and we counted 14 in the long grass. They chattered to us and we took a photo - but they are hard to see as they kept sinking further and further down !!!

We then mooched near the pond and could hear a frog - and in the distance the lapwings were vocal. Meanwhile the swallows kept up their incessant flights for food - sweeping overhead busily.

Sue and I then had some fun taking a "self portrait" with the mobile phone and this is the embarassing result ! [Note her concentration and the woolly hat ! honestly !]

As we moved back towards PAWS the sunshine came out and so we sat on the edge of the patio and enjoyed some warmth [the wind dropped a bit].

Later, Clare came back with some shopping and Bonny and Clyde came out to play !!!
